Free Medical Outreach

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Lagos State, in collaboration with Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, today successfully hosted its Community Medical Outreach as part of the 2025 Annual General Congress (AGM 25). The outreach, which took place earlier today at the Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, brought together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and residents for a day dedicated to free health services.

Highlights of the program included health talks and counseling, routine medical screening, dental care, drug dispensing, and other vital health services designed to promote wellness and preventive care within the community.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi (AOA), reaffirmed her administration's commitment to the health and well-being of residents, emphasizing that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental pillar of the A.C.H.I.E.V.E.S agenda.

The Chairman of NMA Lagos State, Dr. Babajide Kehinde Saheed, also commended the collaboration, noting that such initiatives demonstrate the power of partnerships in strengthening community health systems.

Also present were the Council Manager Mrs Adetokunbo Ogbabi, Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Abiodun Whenu, the chief of staff Hon. Taofeek Afolabi, the Medical Officer of Health Mrs. Simbiat Oladipo amongst other management staff. Their presence underscored the collective commitment of the council's leadership team towards supporting community-focused initiatives and delivering impactful programs that enhance the quality of life for residents.
