In a move to complete the structure of the Executive Arm and further strengthen governance at the grassroots level, the Legislative Arm of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA successfully screened newly appointed officials, including the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisory Councillors, and Special Advisers.
The screening exercise was held at the Legislative Chamber and was presided over by the Leader of the House, Hon. Joel Arowosegbe. The process was conducted in a transparent, orderly, and fair manner, reaffirming the legislature's commitment to due process, accountability, and effective representation in the delivery of good governance.
During the exercise, the nominees' credentials were carefully reviewed and thoroughly screened to ensure their vision aligns with the administrative agenda of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi (AOA), aimed at sustaining growth and development within the LCDA.
Following the successful screening, the appointees were sworn in by the council's legal team led by Lawyer G.O.K. Ajibola (HOD Legal), with the approval of the Executive Chairman. The officials subsequently took their Oaths of Office and Allegiance, pledging to uphold the Constitution, serve with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the progress and development of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA.

In her remarks, Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi commended the Legislative Arm for its diligence and professionalism in carrying out the screening exercise. She noted that the screening and swearing-in of the appointees mark a new chapter in her administration and expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated officials will work collaboratively to achieve improved infrastructural growth and sustainable development across the LCDA.
