The Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, Honourable Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi, is charting a bold and transformative path for sports development within the LCDA. With a renewed commitment to nurturing diverse sporting disciplines that appeal to youths across all categories, this initiative aims to create opportunities for young talents to be discovered, trained, and showcased across multiple sports.
Earlier today, the Chairman received the official jersey of the Iru-VI Sports Fans Club (IRUVISFAC) from its Director General, Mr. Emmanuel Amuwo. The presentation also included a comprehensive activity report detailing the strides made so far by IRUVISFAC - further affirming the AOA administration's unwavering dedication to elevating sports development to an unprecedented level.
Mr. Amuwo noted that before the end of the year, more young individuals with exceptional skills across various sports would be identified. This, he said, will demonstrate the readiness of Iru-VI LCDA to participate actively and competitively in both local and national sporting events.
Reassuring residents, the Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm, Honourable Abiodun Whenu, stated that under the leadership of the Leader of the House, Honourable Joel Arowosegbe, the legislature is giving full and consistent support to the Chairman. He added that members are proud of her accomplishments and her commitment to embracing and promoting sports development across the LCDA.
As these efforts continue to unfold, Iru-VI LCDA looks forward to grooming future stars in the mold of Victor Osimhen, AsisatOshoala, Aruna Quadri, Tobi Amusan, and many others - positioning the LCDA as an emerging hub for sporting excellence.
