On 10th September 2025, the Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA - Hon. Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi held a strategic peace and security meeting targeted at addressing key security concerns.
Reiterating her administration's commitment to the safety of life and property in Victoria Island. Hon. Alabi in her opening remarks assured all present that her administration is committed to ensuring that businesses thrive in a peaceful environment and residents go to bed with both eyes shut.
Present at the meeting were the Vice Chairman - Hon Prince Murisiku Ajasa, the Council Manager Mrs Adetokunbo OgabiChief of Staff - Hon. Taofeek Abiola, Iru-Victoria Island LCDA

Representatives of various Security agencies, NOA, Baales, Arewa and South South non-indigenes, amongst others. Security agencies represented included the NPF, NDLEA, NAF, NSCDC, LNSC, LASTMA, KAI & the DSS. They all gave guarantees of their full cooperation to keep the LCDA secure.
