The Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, Honourable Aminat Oluwakemi Alabi, has expressed strong support for the Intensification of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccination within the LCDA.

Hon. Alabi emphasized the importance of the HPV vaccine, highlighting its role in improving access and coverage - particularly for girls aged 9 to 14 - towards preventing future cases of cervical cancer and safeguarding the health of young females in the community.

To ensure wide reach, the Council's Primary Health Care Centre, led by the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Mrs. Simiat Oladipo, has deployed medical teams across schools and communities within the LCDA to intensify vaccination efforts.

The exercise is scheduled to run from 11th to 13th December 2025.
